Modern platforms contain dozens of network devices that must be interconnected including communications and navigation systems and IP-based sensors and video cameras and targeting systems. The MILTECH 918 is an ideal solution for mobile Ethernet-equipped platforms such as unmanned and manned, airborne, ground and underwater vehicles. With the best combination of size, weight, and cost (SWaP-C) in the industry, it saves valuable real estate in mobile platforms with space and weight limitations.
The 918 is a MIL-STD, managed layer 2, military-grade, rugged network switch offering 8 triple-speed (10/100/1000Mbps) ports. It can be remotely managed to optimize communications and prioritize critical information traffic. Advanced network features, never before found in a package of this size, include on-device IPv4 and IPv6 unicast routing between virtual LANS (VLANS), traffic prioritization (QoS), and bandwidth aggregation. The MILTECH 918’s gigabit speeds and MIL-STD-1275 28VDC power bus make it instantly compatible with network device and power systems.
