Military platforms now contain dozens of network devices including communications and navigation systems, IP-based sensors, video cameras and targeting systems that must be interconnected. Applications such as video and radar consume large amounts of bandwidth that must be managed on the platform and have guaranteed delivery off of the platform. The MILTECH 9124 simplifies this traffic management by combining both Layer 2 Ethernet switching functionality with Layer 3 dynamic routing on a board-level, ruggedized, plug-in module for embedded communications platforms.

The 9124 features 24 triple-speed (10/100/1000Mbps) ports with advanced network features such as virtual LANS (VLANS), traffic prioritization (QoS), bandwidth aggregation, dynamic routing (RIPV1,V2,OSPF V2/V3, Multicast Routing, VRRP, ECMP Routing) and full IPv6 support.

With the industry’s smallest footprint, the MILTECH 9124 measures only 2.55” by 3.55” to deliver significant SWAP-C advantage. With board-to-board connectors, it can easily be integrated as a module-based network building block in any military-grade communications platform. It is conformally coated and designed to withstand working temperatures of -40°C to +85°C and will comply with MIL-STD-810 and MIL-STD461when incorporated in a suitable enclosure. The MILTECH 9124 runs on power input of 3.3VDC with a maximum power consumption of 20 watts.
