DESCRIPTION

The MILTECH 16SER is a military-grade, rugged serial over USB unit. It enables one way data transmission for securing information breach from classified networks to unclassified domains. With 16 serial ports (8 x RS232 over USB + 8 x RS485/422 over USB), the 16SER features internal Enable/Disable TX/RX switches that controls which way data can flow to and from serial-connected devices. Remote software control for the switches is available through 12C. Up to 5 devices can be cascaded for a maximum of 80 serial interfaces over a single USB port. The MILTECH 16SER meets MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-1275, MIL-STD-704, IP68.

The MILTECH 16SER serves as a robust commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) solution for rugged Serial connectivity, which can be used in a wide range of military and commercial applications, including: UAVs,  Land autonomous vehicles (UGVs), Robots, and Mobile equipment fielded in harsh environments.
