Techaya’s MILTECH 404 was just recognized with a 2020 Military & Aerospace Electronics’ Innovators Awards. An esteemed and experienced panel of judges from the aerospace and defense community awarded the MILTECH404 as a Platinum honoree.
The MILTECH 404 is an ISPDS supporting USB, serial, and SMBUS communication combined with smart power management for infantry soldiers. The unique differentiator that the Innovators Award recognized is that the MILTECH 404 also has an integrated System on Module (SOM) running Linux on board. You can read more about how this is an industry-defining technology in our recent blog: Why Open Architecture Redefines Tactical Systems
The unique architecture of the MILTECH 404 with the integrated SOM is a game-changer for soldier-worn hubs. It is already compact and lightweight, but when you also integrate a SOM on to this compact form factor you, can reduce an additional compute device and add custom applications without more weight or devices to carry. It’s pretty cool.
